Jewel Mische reveals she’s feeding baby Aislah from one breast only due to mastitis
Unlike most moms who say that breastfeeding their baby is a breeze, Jewel Mische’s experience is different—but she is confident she will not give up.
The Starstruck season 4 Ultimate Sweetheart revealed that she is exclusively feeding her baby daughter Aislah on one breast after contracting mastitis, which she necessitated breast surgery. Mische made the revelation in an Instagram post Friday.
“It’s an interesting concept, I was hesitant and honestly, the thought of it sounded kinda weird at first,” Mische wrote. “Ultimately my concern was, will my baby get enough milk??”
She also wondered why breastfeeding, which she considers as “natural,” could be challenging too. The actress expressed: “Breastfeeding makes me feel supernatural but also used to make me just wanna cry out of frustration!”
Because of mastitis—a result of a blocked milk duct in the breast that has not cleared—she was told that her one breast “most probably won’t produce milk anymore.”

Luckily, Aislah was satisfied by having enough milk from Mische’s one breast. The actress added: “She was unbothered and even slept throughout the night.”
“I am not sure how long our breastfeeding journey will continue, but one thing I do know is this type of feeding is temporary for us,” she said with optimism. “I don’t care if the doctor can’t guarantee it, the Word of God already did – I will be able to nurse from both sides again!” /ra
