Megastar Sharon Cuneta is marking her 40 years in the entertainment industry with a bang. Her sold-out anniversary concert, “Sharon: My 40 Years,” will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum today, Sept. 28—a grand celebration that will see her perform with eldest daughter KC Concepcion and other special guests.

Despite being in the spotlight for four decades, however, it appears Cuneta still has her momentary bouts with nervousness. Cuneta took to her Instagram on Sept. 27 to share to her fans that she was nervous for her big concert.

“I am now officially unreachable,” she wrote. “I also have no more tickets to give, I am so sorry. Practically dying of nervousness. If I saw you I probably wouldn’t recognize you even if you were Kuya Chet!”

The last few days of her rehearsals must’ve taken a toll on Cuneta, as she wrote, “My body is floating now and so of course my brain is what taught it to do so, and so it’s right up there with it! PLEASE PRAY FOR MY VOICE! God bless us all!”

But although she was wracked with nervousness, Cuneta remained grateful and deeply humbled, as she thanked her fans for their fervent and undying support.

She also shared a huge poster of her at the back entrance of Araneta Coliseum with the message, “Welcome back to the Big Dome!”

“I enter Araneta from the back entrance, and this is what greets me!” she wrote. “This is where I had my first major concert in 1984. I’ve just come home. Thank you, Araneta!!!”

This concert is a special one for Cuneta, not just because it marks her 40 years in the industry, but also because she will be having a duet with KC. Cuneta hinted before that the song they would sing together was one she sang for KC back when she was still small.

KC, on her end, is excited to sing with her mom on stage. She took to Instagram on Sept. 27 to share a video of them during rehearsals.

“Excited to celebrate with you, and experience you on stage singing all your songs I grew up with Mom,” she wrote. “See you there, everyone!”
