For Kris Aquino, raising two sons is ‘best achievement, life’s true legacy’
Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has a long list of career-related achievements she can bring up whenever she is asked what her greatest success is. However, she said that her best achievement as well as life’s true legacy are not these so-called achievements; rather, it is raising her two sons, Josh and Bimby, to become good men.
“[One] of the questions [I] was asked earlier was what did [I] feel would be my life’s greatest achievement?” wrote Aquino in a post she shared via Instagram yesterday, Aug. 7.
Aquino said, “Bimb was [within] hearing distance [and] bago pa ko [makapag-speech] (before I can make a speech) about women empowerment, the importance of economic independence, [and] the attitude of resilience backed up by faithful courage- sumagot na [s’ya] (he answered): “ME”… sa gitna ng hilo ko (amidst my dizziness)- he managed to make me feel so wonderful.”

“These [two] boys have never questioned my life’s choices, my failures, my heartaches,” noted Aquino. “[Celebrity makeup artist RB Chanco] @rbchanco mentioned it last night- kung may (if there are) [two] boys you’d understand kung bakit (the reason why) spoiled or nagba-brat (bratty), si kuya [and] [Bimb] na raw (Josh and Bimby that’s it).”

And however big or small the kindness- always grateful [and] ready [with] a thank you hug [and] kiss.”

Of course, the Queen of All Media did not forget to acknowledge her role model, her mother Cory Aquino. “Again- [I] had the best possible role model in my mom- she got a naughty bunso (youngest child) in me, but she’s seeing from heaven [two] very lovable apos (grandchildren) in kuya [Josh and Bimb].”
Kris Aquino and her two sons are currently in the United States to attend the Hollywood premiere of “Crazy Rich Asians”. JB
