For Kris Aquino, raising two sons is ‘best achievement, life’s true legacy’
Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has a long list of career-related achievements she can bring up whenever she is asked what her greatest success is. However, she said that her best achievement as well as life’s true legacy are not these so-called achievements; rather, it is raising her two sons, Josh and Bimby, to become good men.
“[One] of the questions [I] was asked earlier was what did [I] feel would be my life’s greatest achievement?” wrote Aquino in a post she shared via Instagram yesterday, Aug. 7.
Aquino said, “Bimb was [within] hearing distance [and] bago pa ko [makapag-speech] (before I can make a speech) about women empowerment, the importance of economic independence, [and] the attitude of resilience backed up by faithful courage- sumagot na [s’ya] (he answered): “ME”… sa gitna ng hilo ko (amidst my dizziness)- he managed to make me feel so wonderful.”

1 of the questions i was asked earlier was what did i feel would be my life’s greatest achievement? Bimb was w/in hearing distance & bago pa ko makapag “speech” about women empowerment, the importance of economic independence, & the attitude of resilience backed up by faithful courage- SUMAGOT NA SYA: “ME”… sa gitna ng hilo ko- he managed to make me feel so wonderful. These 2 boys, (Gary- thanks for having a friend who lent you Kuya’s dream car so you could drive kuya around Beverly Hills.👼) have never questioned my life’s choices, my failures, my heartaches- @rbchanco mentioned it last night- kung may 2 boys you’d understand kung bakit spoiled or nagba-brat, si kuya & bimb na raw. And yet total opposite, NATURAL ANG KABAITAN- both are well mannered, respectful, polite, protective, inuuna ang iba, affectionate to all, and generous w/ what they have. And however big or small the kindness- always GRATEFUL & ready w/ a thank you hug & kiss… so Bimb’s 100% CORRECT- raising these 2 to become good men will really be my BEST ACHIEVEMENT & my life’s true legacy. #family 💛 (P.S. Again- i had the best possible role model in my mom- she got a naughty bunso in me, but she’s seeing from heaven 2 very lovable apos in kuya josh & bimb.) #lovelovelove
“These [two] boys have never questioned my life’s choices, my failures, my heartaches,” noted Aquino. “[Celebrity makeup artist RB Chanco] @rbchanco mentioned it last night- kung may (if there are) [two] boys you’d understand kung bakit (the reason why) spoiled or nagba-brat (bratty), si kuya [and] [Bimb] na raw (Josh and Bimby that’s it).”
The Queen of All Media added: “And yet total opposite, natural ang kabaitan ([they are] naturally good)- both are well mannered, respectful, polite, protective, inuuna ang iba (puts others’ [welfare] first), affectionate to all, and generous [with] what they have. And however big or small the kindness- always grateful [and] ready [with] a thank you hug [and] kiss.”
“So Bimb’s 100 [percent] correct- raising these [two] to become good men will really be my best achievement [and] my life’s true legacy,” Aquino stated, affirming Bimby’s earlier declaration that he is her mother’s life’s greatest achievement.
Of course, the Queen of All Media did not forget to acknowledge her role model, her mother Cory Aquino. “Again- [I] had the best possible role model in my mom- she got a naughty bunso (youngest child) in me, but she’s seeing from heaven [two] very lovable apos (grandchildren) in kuya [Josh and Bimb].”
Kris Aquino and her two sons are currently in the United States to attend the Hollywood premiere of “Crazy Rich Asians”. JB
