Sharon Cuneta on bashers accusing her of being a worthless mother: ‘Have they seen my four children?’

Megastar Sharon Cuneta couldn’t hold herself back after some netizens on her Instagram account doubted her being a good mother. On May 15, Cuneta took to her Instagram to share how much she missed simple bonding moments with her firstborn, KC Concepcion. Cuneta admitted that after KC turned 13, she was not able to have as much time with her daughter anymore and “somehow just lost her somewhere years back.”
In a follow-up post made on the same day, Cuneta shared a throwback video clip of her in one of her concerts during the heyday of her career. The video showed a young KC who was watching her mom from the crowd; Cuneta, on the stage, was dedicating her next song to KC.
“I was very privileged ladies and gentlemen to give birth to someone so good so beautiful, this is for my baby,” Cuneta told her audience then as the young KC gave her a toothy smile.
In her Instagram caption, Cuneta wrote, “My life’s work and the name I worked so hard to build over four decades will NEVER mean more to me than you. My Kristina. I love you with all my heart, my #1,” referring to KC, whose given name is Maria Kristina Cassandra.
While many netizens found her post sweet and heartwarming, Cuneta’s post wasn’t also absent of bashers. Cuneta did not hold back, however, as she replied to one netizen who seemingly accused her of being a worthless mother.
“HELLO! WALANG KUWENTANG INA?! NAKITA NA BA NILA APAT NA ANAK KO? ATING ICOMPARE SA KABABUYAN AND KABASTUSAN NG BASHERS NA YAN!” Cuneta wrote without dropping any names.
“Sabagay…alam mo ang isang role din ng idolo ay ang kausapin ang fans niyang mga bastos para huwag ganon at masamang ugali yon. UNLESS MANA SA IDOLO ANG MGA BAHO NG BIBIG…”
It seems Cuneta was pertaining to ex-husband Gabby Concepcion, as she wrote in another comment, “Eh napakasama ko pala eh sino ang tanga? 1.) Bakit ako pinakasalan? 2.) Bakit ilang taon na kaming hiwalay binabalikan pa ako? Huwag tanga… Yang ‘masama akong nanay o babae; aba this year nyo lang inumpisahan yan ah!”
Shutting her bashers down, Cuneta further wrote, “Ang pruweba ko na mali kayo? Ayun – isang napakagandang dalaga na may degree mula pa sa Paris, intelihente at may class. Ako nagpalaki eh!”
As per Cuneta, she maintained that she did not do anything wrong to her ex-husband. “Ako ang umalis pero my heart was torn into pieces kasi parang tinapon ang puso at kaluluwa ko. Tama na. Nandiyan na ang bago niyang pamilya. Nandito na rin ang akin. Masaya ako. Masaya siya di ba?“
Cuneta then called on her bashers to just stop being embittered because “enough is enough.”
“Matino akong tao. DIYOS ANG MAY ALAM NUN,” Cuneta ended. “It’s your problem and your loss if you don’t want to see me as a good person and choose to believe in made-up stories. I feel bad for you.” /ra
