Even after defending her thin physique on national television, Jasmine Curtis-Smith had to reckon again with comments that she looked too skinny.

The 23-year-old actress shared a photo from a magazine shoot where she stands in shallow waters while wearing a delicate dress and holding a surfboard.

A @missvanessaheald observed, “You look too hella skinny. I don’t know if they photoshopped you or not. If not, please eat something – a concerned citizen.”

Curtis-Smith politely explained that her figure wasn’t unnatural, pointing out that a previous magazine cover proves this. “I have lost weight, yes but I’ve actually been this figure before hehe.”

A 2012 magazine cover shows the actress with a more petite frame.

Nasanay lang siguro tao na (maybe people got used to) chubby cheeks ako. My body is maturing and so are my features,” she said.

“Don’t be too concerned, I can assure that I am taking good care of my health,” she added.

To further prove Curtis-Smith’s appetite, one @gringograss noted, “Takaw mo kaya (You eat so much).

On “Tonight with Boy Abunda” last December, the “Siargao” star admitted that the comments would get to her, especially when she was accused of being anorexic. She reasoned in previous exchanges with netizens that she had been doing household work on her own on top of her other activities.

As celebrities have had to confront expectations of being thin, some have also been victim to “skinny-shaming.” Actress Kris Bernal, who has also been accused of eating disorders and being too thin, urged, “We should all learn to accept and appreciate different body types.”  /ra
