WATCH: Angelica Panganiban drops hugot-after-hugot in spoken word appearance for Moira Dela Torre’s show
In a guest appearance at Moira Dela Torre’s “Tagpuan” concert at the Kia Theater Sunday night, actress and comedian Angelica Panganiban once again let her feelings out.
While Dela Torre was making people swoon with her rendition of “You Are My Sunshine”, Panganiban surprised everyone when she came on stage and performed spoken word poetry during one part of the song, as seen in this Youtube video uploaded by entertainment writer Allan Diones.
The actress started her hugot session by asking, “Bakit kaya lagi akong iniiwan? Bakit lagi akong nasasaktan?” (Why do I always get left behind? Why do I always get hurt?) This drew loud cheers from the crowd.
“Bakit kaya lagi na lang ako umiiyak? Lagi na lang masakit. Aabot ka dun sa mauubusan ka ng mga bakit. Mau-ubusan ka ng sigla, ng gana (Why do I always cry? It always hurts. It gets to the point where you run out of whys. You will run out of joy, of energy.),” Panganiban further said. Dela Torre remained seated next to Panganiban, smiling as the actress continuously dropped hugot after hugot.
After reciting, “Pu-pwede ka pala nila tapusin, pu-pwede ka pala mamatay (They can end you, they can kill you.),” Panganiban lightened up her performance saying that eventually, people start recovering from their heartache by focusing on themselves.
“Sa sarili ka lang kakapit, sa sarili ka maniniwala at magtitiwala. Sa sarili ka muna magsisimula (You will hold on to yourself, you will trust yourself and you alone. You will start with yourself.),” the actress expressed.
Ending her spoken word session, she remarked “Makikita mong hinahanda ka lang pala ng Bathala para sa nakatadhana, para sa mas matibay na ikaw, mas matapang, para sa bagong buhay, bagong pagmamahal, at bagong ikaw.”
(You will see that God is only preparing you for what is in store for you, for a stronger you, braver, for a new life, new love and new you.)
Making sure that it will truly be a night to remember, Panganiban posted a shot of her hugging Dela Torre.
The actress has recently been dropping hints about her heartaches in interviews. She broke up with actor John Lloyd Cruz in 2016. Cruz is now in a relationship with sexy actress actress Ellen Adarna.
However, speculations are now circulating that Panganiban might reunite with her ex-boyfriend actor Carlo Aquino, who is himself fresh from a break-up with his non-showbiz girlfriend. Katrina Hallare/JB
