Kevin Hart issues public apology to pregnant wife after facing extortion over sex video
Kevin Hart apologized to his family on social media for a “bad error in judgment.”
The stand-up comedian was allegedly caught on video with a woman in a sexually suggestive position, reports TMZ. Unidentified people engaging in sexual acts on a bed are also in the video.
Hart was reported to have been demanded millions of dollars to keep the video on the down low.
The comedy actor took to Instagram to apologize for the affair to his wife, Eniko Parrish, who is pregnant with their first child, and his two children with his first wife, Torrei Hart.
Hart has claimed that her ex-husband cheated with Parrish while they were married.
His apology on Instagram states he has “no excuses” and makes a vague reference to the extortion.
“I’m at a place in my life where I feel like I have a target on my back, and because of that I should make smart decisions, and recently I didn’t,” the 38-year-old began.
“I’m not perfect… and I made a bad error in judgement and put myself in an environment where only bad things can happen and they did.
“And during that I know I’m going to hurt the people closest to me… and it’s a sh*tty moment when you know you’re wrong and there are no excuses for wrong behavior,” he said.
He stated that he chose to come clean instead of paying off the extortionist: “At the end of the day I gotta do better. But I’m also not gonna allow someone to have financial gain off of my mistakes. And in this situation that’s what was attempted. I said I’d rather ‘fess up to my mistakes.” Niña V. Guno/JB
