The MTV Movie and TV Awards 2017 held on Monday (Sunday in the US) teased its star-studded audience with a timely parody of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”
Host Adam DeVine jumped onto the stage as Beast and invited “Beauty and the Beast” actor Josh Gad, “Pitch Perfect” star Rebel Wilson and actor Mike Colter to join him.
Rising from the crowd, Hailee Steinfeld immediately rushed to DeVine’s side wearing Belle’s iconic yellow ball gown.

Dressed as Mrs. Potts, Wilson belted out a good-hearted rendition of the film’s theme song. “I wanted to look hot / I’m wearing a teapot / Man, this really blows,” she said. As DeVine and Steinfeld waltzed, the stage’s set was ignited in flames, freaking out the actors.
“Beauty and the Beast” was the Movie of the Year while the movie’s princess, Emma Watson, won Best Actor in a Movie, her first gender-neutral acting award. Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
