“Tadyakan,” Michael V’s goofy rendition of Up Dharma Down’s hit “Tadhana,” has reaped compliments from many netizens.
In fact, the ditty’s comic lyrics and timely impersonation caught the attention of the band’s lead singer, Armi Millare. She tweeted her and her mother’s good-hearted reaction to the “Bubble Gang” comedian’s spoof. “I’ve never heard my mother laugh so hard,” she wrote in a tweet.
Millare even admitted that she felt frightened to sing her own song after hearing “Tadyakan.” She tweeted, “Afraid to sing Tadhana tonight [because] I might end up singing Tadyakan.”
On Facebook, several netizens wondered if Millare found the parody offensive, and she responded. “Not offensive at all. My mom would be the first to tell me if it were, but she’s still laughing about it! But also happy to understand your brand of respect for the song,” she answered.
“I believe times are hard and this is a crucial time for the entertainment industry to intelligently put their craft to use. Michael V. has always been [a] testament to that.”
