It looks like the romance between Alden Richards and “Yaya Dub” or “AlDub” still has a chance.

For the second time, the wedding of Frankie (Jose Manalo) and Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) didn’t push through after big secrets were revealed.

In the latest episode of “Eat Bulaga’s” “Kalyeserye” on Saturday, the “Yakie” wedding was aborted after policemen arrested the pastor who was supposed to officiate the rites.

FEATURED STORIES

According to the police, the wedding will be null and void because the pastor is fake.

The pastor has been facing charges of estafa and illegal recruitment.

“Dr. Tan-Ning,” meanwhile, disclosed that Lola Nidora (Wally Bayola), Yaya Dub’s boss, was just feigning sickness.

For days now, Lola Nidora has been sitting on a wheelchair and accompanied by a team of doctors and nurses. Dr. Tan-ning has announced she will die at exactly 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

This afternoon, however, Lola Nidora remained very much alive, saying she agreed to the wedding only because she wanted to get Frankie’s money—a total of P51,000,500—so she could the redeem her lost diary which held explosive secrets.

She said she really didn’t want Frankie to be married to Yaya Dub.

Frankie felt betrayed. “Bakit mo nagawa sa ‘kin ‘to, Lola?” he asked.

“Hindi sapat ang yaman para ibigin ang isang tao. Ang pag-ibig ay nararamdaman. Hindi binibili. Ipinaglalaban … iniingatan. At ipinagkakaloob sa tamang panahon,” Lola Nidora told Frankie.

Lola Nidora later apologized to Alden for the trouble she had caused.

Earlier, Alden tried to stop the wedding but he was blocked by the Rogelios, Lola Nidora’s bodyguards, on his way out of the Eat Bulaga studio.

Frankie and Yaya Dub’s Aug. 8 wedding was cancelled when the bride was rushed to hospital after passing out in the middle of the ceremonies. RC
