Fans of on-screen loveteam Alden Richards and Nicomaine Dein “Yaya Dub” Mendoza went abuzz on Saturday after the latter fainted while their segment on noontime show “Eat Bulaga” was on air.

Mendoza was reportedly rushed to a hospital after passing out in the middle of her wedding scene with Frankie, the character of comedian Jose Manalo.

Hours after the show, Mendoza took to Twitter to update fans on her condition, saying she was not feeling well even before the show’s airing.

“Alive and still kicking! As I have posted earlier, I’m feeling under the weather since this morning. We’re too busy preparing for the segment that I forgot to take my meds. That’s probably the reason why I passed out during our cue,” she said.

In an earlier post on Saturday morning, Mendoza said she was feeling “extremely weak today.”

The online sensation added that her passing out was not scripted, as what some netizens suspected.

“None of it was scripted. I was immediately rushed to the hospital so I can have myself checked. But nothing to worry, they said it’s all because of over fatigue,” she said. “Super appreciate all the love and concern from everyone! Rampa na ulit si Yaya Dub!”

The hashtag #AlDubWeBelongTogether emerged as top trending topic in the Philippines and worldwide.
