Ex-One Direction member Zayn Malik records solo single ‘I Won’t Mind’

It seems Zayn Malik doesn’t really mind.

Barely a week after his shocking departure from One Direction, Malik on Tuesday (Manila time) released a demo for his first solo single “I Won’t Mind” online.

Malik’s record producer Naughty Boy shared the two-minute snippet of the song on Twitter with its SoundCloud link.

“Let the music do the talking guys. thank us later,” Naughty Boy said.

Malik’s forthcoming album will be released next year as hinted by Naughty Boy’s post: “There is nothing but love for what was left behind. thats why we don’t mind. ;) #2016 #zaughty #zindabad.”

With only an acoustic guitar in the background, “I Won’t Mind” is deep and soulful and has a folk song feel. AM / IDL
