“Your intentions are good. But you should instead appeal to Melissa to tell the truth, so this case can be amicably settled.”
This was the message of businessman Rey Pamaran on Friday to actor Robin Padilla after the latter pleaded that Pamaran should forgive actress Melissa Mendez over their plane dispute.
The response, which was relayed to INQUIRER.net by Atty. Raymond Fortun, is still in connection with March 20 incident when Mendez was offloaded from a Cebu Pacific flight from Manila to Pagadian City after allegedly slapping Pamaran over an argument on seat assignment.

Pamaran on Wednesday filed a P3-million slander complaint against Mendez after he rejected her apology on Tuesday.

(I am not intervening, but only requesting; I believe you two are honorable people who do not back down from fights, but Melissa has already asked for your forgiveness. It’s clear that she no longer wants to fight. It is the Katipunan’s prayer for an end to this misunderstanding and that this may serve as a lesson to those who ride planes, whether they are a man or a woman. The group of peaceful revolutionaries will be indebted for your forgiveness of Melissa Mendez.)

Pamaran later responded to Padilla, saying that he has already forgiven Mendez but she still has to clear his name that has been smeared because of her false accusations.
(I never intend to file a case against her much more demand money from her, but that’s the only way she will be compelled to tell the truth. I want her to tell the whole truth about the incident on TV and not lies just to protect herself).
Pamaran also believed that though Mendez refused to admit the real story, it would still come out, especially when the flight crew and the passengers get to speak about the whole incident.
(I hope you all understand that I was the one humiliated, cursed at, physically hit and whose reputation was tarnished. Not her. She turned everything around and made it appear she’s the victim.)

Pamaran also gave a message for his bashers.
(For those who say that I am just after the money, this is all I can say, how about this, what if I just give Melissa the three million [pesos] so she can tell the truth? I don’t need three million). TVJ
