Reaction to Marinel R. Cruz’s story, “Celebs express mixed views on MTRCB move vs ‘Mr. Bean’” (Oct. 25, 2013 issue):

If you think Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean showing his buttocks should not be viewed by the general public, especially children, I suggest that you view “Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean,” where he desecrates the Holy Manger by mishandling the Baby Jesus, the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, the Three Kings and the shepherds. That is unacceptable to us Roman Catholics.  [email protected]

Regarding the show, “Mr. Bean.” In the first place, it should not be shown in Philippine television at all. It teaches the children to be [bumbling fools]. That is not funny. Even adults may be similarly influenced by this show.
