How to cast vote for Nicole Borromeo in Miss International race
MANILA, Philippines — Binibining Pilipinas Nicole Borromeo hoped to tap into the Filipino’s Bayanihan spirit on her bid for the Miss International crown, which just opened an online poll to help candidates advance to the semifinal round of the competition.
The Miss International pageant just recently launched its “our time has come” campaign, which allows fans and beauty pageant aficionados to proactively show their support for their bets through online votes.
The online poll for the 61st Miss International pageant has official started today, Oct. 1, with votes accepted through the contest’s official mobile app, powered by Choicely and available for free on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
When the pageant launched its mobile app last year, then marketing director Stephen Diaz said, “nearly 60 to 70 percent of smartphone users would rather use an app than browse websites on their phones.” The Filipino official has since been promoted as head director of International Cultural Association (ICA), organizer of the global tilt.
Last year, first runner-up Stephany Amado from Cape Verde, second runner-up Tatiana Calmell from Peru, and semifinalist Savannah Delos Santos from Northern Marianas advanced to the Top 15 by topping the polls in their respective geographic regions.
