Demi Moore flaunts full frontal nudity in Cannes 2024 film ‘The Substance’

At 61 years old, Demi Moore is not yet done baring it all, as she received praise for her striking Cannes 2024 film debut, “The Substance,” where the Hollywood star featured a full frontal nudity vis-à-vis another actress in a gory, violent narrative.
Upon its premiere at the festival, ‘The Substance” earned raves from critics, with most commending Moore’s performance as they highlighted the “level of vulnerability and rawness” the actress showed in regards to nudity.
“The Substance” received an 11-minute standing ovation, but Moore continued to delight in applause, with most critics “suggesting that she could win her first Oscar for the role.”
“Moore delivers arguably a career-best performance,” wrote Total Film in their review of the film. “Moore stole the spotlight with a fearless, notable performance,” added Awards Watch.

The “Ghost” actress said in her interview with Variety that doing the nudity was “a very vulnerable experience,” and that she’s thankful to have an onscreen partner that she felt “very safe with,” referring to her co-star, Margaret Qualley.
“Going into it, it was really spelled out—the level of vulnerability and rawness that was really required to tell the story,” Moore said. “And it was a very vulnerable experience and just required a lot of sensitivity and a lot of conversation about what we were trying to accomplish.”
“I had someone who was a great partner who I felt very safe with. We obviously were quite close—naked—and we also got a lot of levity in those moments at how absurd those certain situations were,” she added.
With a career spanning more than 40 years, Moore may no longer be at her prime to be flaunting her womanhood in public, but she has always been a figure of talent and confidence, and was even dubbed by media back then as a “sex symbol.”
In 1982, Moore posed fully nude at 18 years old for the French magazine Oui. This viral moment was then followed when she rocked the entertainment industry when she modeled nude while pregnant, an iconic photograph that landed on the 1991 Vanity Fair’s cover page.

Over the years, Moore’s remarkable filmography has earned her a household name, proving that she had no problem baring it if the story calls for it. The Hollywood actress has proven that she’s more than her beautiful face and body.
“The Substance” has yet to receive its international release date.
