TWICE’s Dahyun in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19

Dahyun, one of the members of K-pop girl group TWICE, has contracted COVID-19 and is currently in isolation, talent agency JYP Entertainment disclosed.

The label made public Dahyun’s COVID-19 diagnosis through a statement obtained by Korean news outlet Soompi on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

“We are sad to inform you that TWICE member Dahyun tested positive for COVID-19 with a rapid antigen test on Tuesday, Jan. 3,” it read.

“After testing positive with a self-diagnosis kit on Monday, Jan. 2 at around 10 p.m. KST, the positive result was confirmed with a rapid antigen test on Jan. 3, and she is currently quarantined, following the guidelines from the health department,” it continued.

The agency then assured fans that it will “prioritize” Dahyun’s health and will “put best effort” for her speedy recovery.

TWICE is a nine-member group which consists of Dahyun, Nayeon, Momo, Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon, Mina, Jihyo, Sana and Tzuyu. They are known for their songs “What is Love?” “I Can’t Stop Me,” “MORE & MORE” and “CRY FOR ME,” among others.

TWICE is set to release on Jan. 20 its new song “Moonlight Sunrise,” the group’s second original English single following “The Feels” which was released in October 2021. EDV
