Chito Miranda grieves over death of father Alfonso

Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda has paid tribute to his father Alfonso Miranda, who passed away last Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The musician revealed his father’s death while showing a photo of Alfonso and his urn on his Instagram page today, Aug. 12. Alfonso was 77 years old.

“Bye, Dad! Love you! To all our family and friends, we decided to keep everything simple and intimate. Immediate family lang talaga (Just immediate family),” Chito said. “Hope you guys understand. Prayers lang, oks na. (Prayers are enough.)”

Singer Gary Valenciano, vlogger Slater Young and actress Kaye Abad were among those who extended their condolences to Chito and his family.

“Love you Chito. I am so sorry to hear about this. I pray that God embraces you and keeps you close to His heart,” Valenciano told Chito.
