“Siguro masasabi niyo na sa title at sa itsura ko, I’m not in a good position. Wala ako sa lugar na kaya kong magpasaya ngayon kasi ang bigat-bigat ng pinagdadaanan ko ngayon sa buhay,” she said. “The virus that we really tried to stay away [from] and hindi magkaroon, e nagkaroon kami. Meron akong COVID.”

I’m currently not in the place to make people happy because I’m going through something heavy in my life right now. The virus that we really tried to stay away from and avoided having, we got it. Ivana told fans that her mother was the first one who tested positive in their family, adding that she experienced difficulty in breathing. Days after, Ivana and her brother also tested positive for the virus, after experiencing symptoms such as headache, body pain and sore throat.

Ivana then urged the public to be responsible once symptoms appear, noting how no one should be above the law when it comes to complying with the protocols.

“You have to take responsibility and you have to take accountability so if you are exposed or if you are [not feeling] well, huwag ka nang lumabas and maghintay ka nang five days, magpa-RT-PCR ka kasi ang hirap talaga guys,” she told her fans. “Ang hirap ‘pag ikaw or any of your family members or your loved ones get COVID.”

“No one is above the law, tandaan niyo ‘yan. Kahit sino ka man, hindi ka law, hindi ka pwede mag-inarte at hindi ka pwede magbreak ng law,” she added. “Get that in your mind.”

(No one is above the law, remember that. No matter who you are, you’re not the law. You have no right to act out and break the law. Get that in your mind.)

Ivana, Hash and her mother are now isolating from each other, while waiting for their full recovery. Meanwhile, her other siblings Mona and Amira tested negative for the virus. JB
