After receiving his second dose, Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda encouraged the public to also get vaccinated against COVID-19 and asked them to not be afraid.

Miranda’s vaccination experience in Alfonso, Cavite was “super efficient and sobrang [very] hassle-free,” he shared via Facebook yesterday, May 18, where he also showed his arm bandaged after receiving the jab.

“Hindi lang dahil sa bokalista ako ng Parokya (tulad ng sinasabi ng ibang mga nega-netizens), pero maayos talaga para sa lahat. Actually ka-text ko yung isang friend ko na nagpabakuna din kaninang umaga, super hassle-free din nung experience nila,” the rock star stressed.

(Not only because I am the vocalist of Parokya ni Edgar, like what some negative netizens are saying, but it went smoothly for everyone. Actually, I was talking to my friend who also got vaccinated earlier this morning, he said they also had a super hassle-free experience.)

Miranda also shared the exact text he received from the said friend, which read: “Swabe! Ang bilis and [hassle-free] yung vaccination day today. [Nasunod] ang mga time sa list. Galing! [emoji] Super happy mga Seniors and ibang tao. Congrats pare! Fully vaccinated [ka na] today! Wohooo!!!!”

(It went smoothly. The vaccination today was fast and hassle-free. The schedule on the list was followed. They were good! The seniors and other citizens were super happy. Congrats, brother! You are now fully vaccinated.)

The musician then asked the public to not be afraid of vaccination and encouraged them to consult doctors regarding the topic.

“Sa mga nag-aalinlangan, wag sana kayong matakot magpabakuna. Wag kang umasa sa Facebook when it comes to getting proper information re the available vaccines sa lugar ninyo,” Miranda said.

(To those who are still unsure, I hope you lose your fear of vaccination. Do not believe Facebook when it comes to getting proper information re the available vaccines in your areas.)

“Wag din kayong basta makinig sa akin. MAKINIG KAYO SA DOCTOR NYO!!!” he emphasized. (Also, do not just believe me. Believe your doctors!!!)

Miranda stressed that vaccination is a step closer to getting back to the way things were before the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Eto na yung matagal nating hinihintay upang makabalik tayo sa lumang pamamaraan ng ating pamumuhay,” he said. (This is what we have been waiting for, for a long time, so we can return to our old way of living.) JB
