“Bling Empire,” filmed in 2019 and released last January, delves into the lives of ridiculously wealthy Asians living in Los Angeles. Filled with glamor and drama, the eight-episode series has been described as binge-worthy. The all-Asian cast involves a group of friends that includes eccentric heiress Anna Shay, DJ Kim Lee, Singaporean entrepreneur Kane Lim and model Kevin Kreider.
Besides parties and shopping sprees, the show gives a glimpse into Asian culture when it comes to wealth—for instance, some cast members reveal they have been cut off from the family fortune for certain reasons. Feuds abound, as well as personal problems that money alone cannot solve.
