Kean Cipriano gives ‘high school crush’ Chynna Ortaleza a private gig for her birthday

Although spent in quarantine, actress and host Chynna Ortaleza still had a birthday to remember on Sunday, Dec. 6.
Ortaleza marked her 38th birthday with husband, actor and Callalily frontman Kean Cipriano, and their children Stellar and Salem at home where they had a simple plant-based lunch courtesy of The Sexy Kitchen by B.
“One of my prayers now that another chapter has been added to my life is to be able to honor the temple that God has given my soul,” she said. “My physical body & health have gone through challenges but I am determined to live well & longer.”

She also received surprise balloons from entrepreneurs Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang, which made her feel like a kid again.
“Whaaaa!!!! Thank you… quite unexpected… I have balloons. I feel like a happy kid!” said Ortaleza. “Super thank you… Jonathan & Carlito.”

And it seems being married to a musician has its perks too, as Ortaleza had her own “gig” at home thanks to Cipriano and their kids.
“May pa gig sa bahay!!!!” she said. “Thank you Kean for the song & the kids for the dance party.”

Cipriano also penned a heartwarming birthday message to his wife on Instagram, sharing fate had been good to him.
“Akalain mong [iyong] [high school] crush ko, naging asawa ko. Hahaha tindi di ba!” he said. “[Iyong] joke na ‘bata [pa lang] ako pinapanuod na kita,’ totoo [iyon] [sa ‘kin].”
(Who would have thought that my high school crush would become my wife? Hahaha amazing, right! The joke “I’ve been watching you since I was kid” rings true for me).

Cipriano also reminisced about the time he watched the 2004 movie “Kuya” with his parents at Ever Gotesco Mall, which Ortaleza starred in.
“Crush na crush kita sa pelikula na [iyon]. Isa [iyon] sa paborito kong barkada film,” he said. “Tapos ngayon.. kasama na kita almost every single second ng buhay ko.”
(I was crushing on you hard in that film. It’s one of my favorite friendship films. And now, I get to be with you almost every single second of my life).
“Happy Birthday my love @chynsortaleza! You deserve to be happy. Praying for good health, wealth, peace of mind and calmness,” he said. “Andito lang ako palagi para [sa iyo]. (I’m always here for you). I love you!”
