Actress Nikki Valdez was finally able to go home from the hospital following an accident.

Valdez did not go into detail about what happened to her, but a photo she shared on Instagram Sunday, Dec. 6, saw her sitting in a wheelchair with her left arm in a sling. She appears to have broken her left hand.

“Today, I came home with a grateful heart. Much worse could have happened but here I am alive and in one piece (may kamay na bakal lang nga but all good!!),” she said. “It may take time for a full recovery but I will be diligent in doing everything to feel better.”

Valdez shared she had been feeling down since the accident happened.

“The last thing I want is maging pabigat sa mga taong nakapaligid sa akin kaya ang sama ng loob ko sa nangyari.”

(The last thing I want is to be a burden to the people around me, which is why I felt resentful over what happened).

Nevertheless, the actress was overcome with gratitude to those who sent well wishes and encouragement her way. She also thanked all of the people who helped her, such as her neighbors who administered first aid to her, the doctors who performed surgery on her, as well as her friends, relatives and Star Magic family for checking up on her constantly.

“Last but not least, my husband Luis for being my extra arm, extra hand, my extra everythiiiiiing making sure I am mobile and not in so much pain. I love you sooooooo much!!!!” she said of husband Luis Garcia.

“This situation has just once again proven one thing— God is in control and has sent so many angels on earth to love and take care of me,” she added. “From the bottom of my heart, salamat po (thank you).” NVG
