Rabiya Mateo reveals she’s in a 6-year relationship with first boyfriend

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo revealed that she is currently in a relationship with her first boyfriend who she has been with for six years now.

They have been a couple since they were in college, as seen in Mateo’s interview with Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN News. The latter posted a short video of their talk on her Instagram page last Tuesday, Oct. 27.

“I can make a man stay!” she said in jest.

The beauty queen also pointed out that her boyfriend is very supportive of her win. Prior to being crowned the latest Miss Universe Philippines, Mateo made a promise to him.

“He made me promise not to leave him even if I win the Miss Universe Philippines crown. I have a video stating that!” she recalled while laughing.

Mateo does not speak about her relationship often on social media nor did she state his name in the interview, though there are speculations that the guy is a certain Neil Johnfel Salvacion who works in a hospital in Quezon City. Ryan Arcadio/JB
