KC Concepcion on relationship with apl.de.ap: ‘A great, great friend of mine’

KC Concepcion gave fans a taste of her fun dynamic with Fil-Am rapper apl.de.ap, real name Allan Pineda Lindo.
The actress-host had him as a guest on her online cooking show “Kitchen Collabs” last Saturday, Oct. 31 which streams on Instagram Live. She did the video while in Tagaytay and he is in London.
Concepcion announced that she would make dessert for the first time and that she will create the Kampampangan delicacy tibok-tibok (milk pudding) with the help of apl.de.ap, who was born in Pampanga.
“Everybody who’s been asking for this, this is your treat. Because it is Halloween over here,” she said.
“Today will be the day. The very, very first dessert day. And I want to invite over my very special guest of the day,” she said. “He’s a great, great friend of mine, very sweet, and very, very thoughtful.”
“He has supported a lot of artists from the Philippines and really introduced them outside. And I’m so, so grateful to know him and them all the boys from the group [Black Eyed Peas].”
Apl.de.ap kept with the Halloween spirit and made his entrance as Spider-Man. Later on, Concepcion showed off her ring that was shaped like a spider web and joked that Spider-Man gave it to her.
The two seemed comfortable with each other in the show that lasted about an hour. It also seemed that Concepcion was updated with his life as she mentioned his new projects, such as a music collaboration with Jennifer Hudson and an interview with iconic TV host Oprah Winfrey.
Towards the end, Concepcion said she was “always in L.A.” and that she will finish her gemology studies there.
“And maybe one day, I can check out your local garden,” she said, in reference to his garden where he plans to grow lemons, oranges and calamansi.
“Can’t wait,” the rapper said.
She and apl.de.ap have been romantically linked since late 2019 but have yet to confirm or deny if they are dating. Apl.de.ap has made no secret of his admiration for her, saying in 2009 that she was his local showbiz crush. JB
