Ruffa Gutierrez thumbs down getting married again: ‘I’m fine the way I am’

Ruffa Gutierrez has no plans on getting hitched again, stressing in an interview that she is content with what she has in life.
The actress spoke with Toni Gonzaga on the online show “I Feel U” released yesterday on YouTube, as reported by Inquirer Bandera today, Sept. 9.
“For me, OK naman ako mag-isa (I am OK being alone). Kaya ko naman mabuhay (I can live) with my kids, with my dogs and my career with my life,” she said. “Kasi buo ako sa sarili ko (My own self is whole), I’m happy on my own.”
“I need a man that will grow with me. I need a man that will make me feel happy. And if he doesn’t fulfill that need anymore, okay bye!” she stressed.
She also shared her sentiments on marriage, stating, “Ayaw ko nga magpakasal ulit eh (I don’t want to get married again), kasi ‘di ba (because then) you have to go through an annulment again.”
“Tapos marami akong nakikitang marriages na parang (Then I see many marriages where) they are just with their partners because for the kids, just to make it work,” she noted.
Gutierrez said she has Bible study-mates who say they pray she will get married again, but she tells them, “Guys, I’m OK. You don’t need to pray for me. I’m not lonely. I’m fine the way I am.”
However, she remains open to love. “If the time comes that my partner will propose or I feel that it’s right and I feel that it will make me happy forever, kahit 70 pwede ako magpakasal (even at 70 I can get married). Why not?”
Gutierrez was previously married to Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas, and has been open about the abuse she experienced while with him. She is a single parent to their two daughters Lorin and Venice. Niña V. Guno /ra
