Juan Miguel Severo’s Boys’ Love series “Gaya sa Pelikula” finally has an official teaser starring its two leading men.

The teaser released on Friday, Sept. 4, via YouTube shows Karl (Paolo Pangilinan) caught in a compromising situation with his housemate Vlad (Ian Pangilinan).

Vlad, an upperclassman, gets 19-year-old Karl to pretend to be his boyfriend in exchange for paying his rent for a month.

“Gaya sa Pelikula” (Like in the Movies) follows Karl, an architecture student, who joins his university’s film organization and falls for Vlad, who happens to be a strict member of the same org.

The series, directed by JP Habac (“I’m Drunk, I Love You”), will stream on Globe Studios’ YouTube channel starting Sept. 25.

Severo announced in April that he had a BL series in the works and that he was writing it for the LGBTQ+ community, as well as his “younger self” who felt shame for being queer.

For those who want to know more about the series, Severo has been posting previews of the story on Wattpad. JB
