Cinema One to stream ‘Baka Bukas’, ‘Happyland’, more in August

Cinema One will be making films such as “Baka Bukas” and “Happyland” available for streaming online next month.

The movies will be uploaded to the network’s YouTube page for free, as per its Facebook post on Monday, July 27.

Audiences can watch the productions from noon of Aug. 8 to midnight of Aug. 14. Along with the two films, Cinema One will also be streaming “Mamu: And A Mother Too”, “Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros”, “Paglisan” and “Tisay”.

Among the said movies, “Baka Bukas”, “Mamu: And A Mother Too”, “Tisay” and “Paglisan” were previous entries to the annual film festival held by Cinema One.

The C1 Originals festival is known for promoting stand-out independent filmmaking in the country. However, this year’s event has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The festival last ran in November 2019, with Giancarlo Abrahan’s gay rom-com “Sila-Sila” bagging the Best Picture award. JB
