Heart Evangelista shares daily routine of responding to calls for help amid COVID-19
Amid the enhanced community quarantine implemented to battle the spread of COVID-19, actress Heart Evangelista has been helping people “in little ways” via her Twitter page.
Evangelista brought her effort to her Instagram platform as well, in an attempt to reach more people. The actress also shared her insights during the quarantine, as seen on her Instagram post yesterday, April 6.
“Seeing what’s happening in the world is heartbreaking and I know we all feel a little helpless because we are confined in our homes,” she said. “But I hope you all know that just by staying at home, we’re actually helping save lives.”
“What I’ve come to realize over the past few weeks is that the things we used to take for granted are what matters most— spending time with family and taking comfort in the simple things in life,” Evangelista added.
On Twitter, Evangelista retweets the posts of some citizens asking for medical assistance, financial support or relief goods, and messages them to ask how she could help them individually. Such was the case with Romina Palaganas (@Mina081287), who asked Evangelista to assist her in acquiring her son’s maintenance drugs and diapers via the netizen’s post yesterday, April 6. Evangelista retweeted it on her account, adding “DM (direct message) pls”.

“In the end, material things don’t really matter. All we really need are love, life, and happy memories that we can bring into the afterlife,” she said. “This too shall pass.” JB
