Ion Perez denies being in a relationship with Vice Ganda

MANILA, Philippines — “It’s Showtime” host Ion Perez denied rumors that he is in a relationship with comedian and actor Vice Ganda. 

“Hindi,” Perez said when asked if he and Vice Ganda are officially together, as seen in a video uploaded by ABS-CBN Wednesday.

“Sobrang malapit lang kami sa isa’t isa kaya siguro ‘yung mga tao nag-iisip sila, ganun ‘yung nagiging reaksyon nila,” Perez explained.

Perez’s statement came a few months after he admitted Vice Ganda as “special” to him.

The model-turned-host, however, did not deny the closeness he and Vice Ganda have, saying the comedian is no stranger to him anymore.

“Sobrang malapit lang kami sa isa’t isa. Sobrang close kami. Close na close kami ni Vice. Parang hindi na rin siya iba sa akin,” Perez said.

The two have been a subject of constant teasing by “It’s Showtime” hosts, fuelling online rumors about their supposed romance. 

However, they have also been spotted outside the noontime variety show; one instance was when their mothers met. /je
