As much as she wants to continue traveling around the world, Anne Curtis said she had to come home and go back to work this holiday season, especially since she has an entry in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival.

“It’s inevitable. I was away for quite some time, so I have to catch up on work,” pointed out Anne, who went on a monthlong honeymoon/adventure in Africa with her husband, Erwan Heussaff, in November.

Still, the actress made sure that she will have enough time to celebrate Christmas.

“My sister (Jasmine Curtis-Smith) will go to Australia, but I will stay here and spend Christmas with Erwan,” she said.

“I freed up my schedule a little, so I can have time to rest,” she added.

Meanwhile, Anne is thankful for all the prayers for her father, who underwent an operation early this month for a condition she has yet to disclose.

“I know those prayers went a long way. He’s now on his road to recovery,” according to the actress.

“I do hope he continues to get well, so he doesn’t spend Christmas in the hospital,” Anne said.

As for 2019, Anne said she hopes to do more quality films.

“It will depend on the scripts I get. But I’m very excited for next year. I’ll be doing a film with director Jason Paul Laxamana,” she said.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
