Aside from celebrating his birthday with Kim Chiu and a black panther, Xian Lim decided that it was also great to do charity work and give back.

The actor visited the San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly in Pasay City to bring smiles to them last July 16. His management, Viva Entertainment, was there to document the event, as seen in a YouTube video posted on Tuesday.

Upon his arrival, Lim was warmly welcomed by the nuns who manage the home. Some lucky fans took out their phones and took photos of the actor, and took the opportunity to meet him personally.

Lim brought along boxes of food for the elderly, saying that it was his way to make them happy. He also interacted with them, at one point getting along with someone who played guitar for him.

And to cap off his visit, the home surprised Lim with a cake fit for the birthday celebrant.

He also posted photos on Instagram about the day, saying: “I still don’t know what it is I did to deserve all this love from you guys! Thank you po sa lahat ng groupo na nag sama sama (to all the groups who gathered) to make this happen.”
