Actress and reigning sexiest woman in the country Jessy Mendiola is no stranger to online bashing and body-shaming.
After FHM Philippines voted her as the No. 1 Sexiest Woman in the Philippines, netizens criticized her for having a full figure. The 24-year-old has taken the comments in stride, particularly on social media.
In a recent Instagram post, Jessy shared a sexy photo of her in a striped bikini, which she said she borrowed from actress Angelica Panganiban.
Her caption: di pako masyadong nagtakaw niyan kaya flat tyan ko.
(My stomach is flat here since I didn’t eat so much.)
While most netizens praised her for looking gorgeous in the swimsuit, still there were comments about her body.
One asked why she looked big on TV:

Jessy told the commenter that TV adds 10 pounds, and said that because she has full hips, she looks even wider on the silver screen:

The showbiz star is clearly comfortable in her skin, and boyfriend and TV host Luis Manzano doesn’t seem to mind the curves anyway, based on his comment on her photo:

The two used to consistently deny they were a couple until early this year, when Jessy called the 36-year-old actor her “partner” in the talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda”. JB
