Red Cross clarifies: We’re on alert at AlDub’s PH Arena show

The Philippine Red Cross on Saturday clarified that it has deployed people at the Philippine Arena not to watch the “Eat Bulaga” special on the popular love team “AlDub” but to offer first aid to the public.

“Today, we are not on standby mode, we are on ALERT! Remain calm and stay safe for #ALDubEBTamangPanahon,” the Philippine Red Cross said on its Twitter account. It also attached a photo of its volunteers watching the crowd.

The group said they have set up first aid stations in four locations at the 55,000-seater Philippine Arena: the centennial marker,level four of the Philippine Arena, level two of the Philippine Arena, and the backstage.

Its first photo tweet has received 570 retweets as of 12:30 p.m.

On Facebook, its photo shared on the Inquirer page has received more than 1,000 likes. While some questioned the Red Cross’ availability during calamities, many defended the group and posted articles on their rescue operations. IDL
