Alden Richards goes cryptic with IG post: ‘Mind your own business’

Alden Richards stirred speculation after making a cryptic remark about “minding [one’s own] business,” in what seemed to be a response to rumors about his private life.

The actor took to a now-expired Instagram Story on Monday, Feb. 24, where he said, “Food for thought: Mind your own business,” although he didn’t disclose whom he was referring to.

It can be noted that Richards has been making headlines after he reportedly stopped courting Kathryn Bernardo. However, the onscreen pair have yet to comment about their status from the time they started promoting “Hello, Love, Again” in 2024 until the present, as they notably only spoke about their close friendship.

Richards was speculated to have been courting Bernardo after he was seen attending the latter’s 28th birthday party in Palawan in March 2024. Weeks later, he made a surprise appearance at the actress’ intimate celebration, where he surprised her with a bouquet of red roses and a gift bag.

The actor also said his friendship with Bernardo is “deep and special” in an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” in November 2024, adding that he cherished knowing the latter’s family beyond the camera.

Meanwhile, Bernardo was rumored to have gotten back together with her ex-boyfriend Daniel Padilla, although her mother Min seemingly denied the rumor as she reminded the public to “not believe in fake news.”

Richards and Bernardo worked together in the romantic films “Hello, Love, Goodbye” and “Hello, Love, Again,” where they portrayed the characters Joy and Ethan.

“Hello, Love, Again” is currently the highest-grossing Filipino film, earning P1.4 billion.
