Weeks after allegedly being hit by her fiancé Jam Ignacio, disc jockey Jellie Aw assured her followers that she is “getting better” and is planning to return to work once her wounds are healed.
Aw took to her Instagram account on Sunday, February 23, to update her followers about her condition, saying she is scheduled for a dentist appointment to fix her teeth.
“Update, sa mga nagwoworry sa’kin, guys, don’t worry. I’m getting better. Kung makikita niyo, may pasa sa mata ko at ‘yung ngipin ko, basag pa rin. Pero naka-schedule na po ako sa dentist ko sa Tuesday at magagawa na po siya. Ang labi ko, okay na po siya. Tuyo na ang sugat,” she said.
(An update to those who are worrying about me. Guys, don’t worry. I’m getting better. If you can see, I still have a bruise on my eye area and my teeth are still crushed. But I already have an appointment scheduled with the dentist on Tuesday and it will be fixed. My lips are okay. The wound is drying up.)

The disc jockey said she is planning to return to work when her condition improves, as she thanked her followers for their concern.
“I’m planning na bumalik sa work this week kung mawawala ‘yung pasa and maga sa mukha ko. ‘Yun lang, guys. Inupdate ko lang kayo,” she said. “Hindi ko kayo [masabihan] nang isa’t isa, sobrang dami nagmemessage sa’kin. Again, marami pong salamat sa prayers at pag-alala niyo. God bless you all.”
(I’m planning to get back to work this week if my wounds and swelling on my face will subside. That’s it, guys. I’m just updating you. I can respond to every single one of you since I received a lot of messages. Again, thank you for your prayers and concern. God bless you all.)
Aw and Ignacio, who were supposed to get married, made headlines after the disc jockey accused the latter of beating her shortly before Valentine’s Day. She has since reported the incident to authorities and lodged a complaint against him before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Ignacio, who is the ex-boyfriend of host Karla Estrada, appeared before the NBI to file his testimony earlier this month.
