Mikee Quintos pokes fun at past thesis issue

Actress-host Mikee Quintos is turning a past controversy into a moment of humor as she asked participants to join in the survey intended for her academic thesis.
Quintos, who was at the center of past headlines for allegedly not contributing to their group thesis, took to Instagram to share that she is conducting a short survey for a new thesis.
The “Lutong Bahay” host shared photos of her posing in the headquarters of GMA Network while pointing at a sign with a QR code.
“Ambag ko ‘to sa thesis (this is my contribution to our thesis), please scan the QR!” read the sign.

In the comments section, Mikoy Morales teased the actress about a “nail spa session,” referencing the viral post of the actress’ thesis mate who alleged that Quintos prioritize having her nails done before their thesis.

In 2021, a student from the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) lamented on social media about a classmate “who gets good grades without having to work for it.”
Despite not naming the classmate, the student hinted that her thesis mate was a celebrity and was a talent of GMA, making netizens tie up the puzzle and linked the post to Quintos.
“Nakakainis pa, makikita ko siya sa TV (The irritating part is I will see her on TV),” the student wrote at the time, “Rinig ko rin pala nag-GMA lang siya kasi ni-reject siya ng Star Circle.” (I also heard that she only joined GMA because Star Circle rejected her.)
The student alleged that she did their thesis all by herself due to the celebrity being busy with other things, including a spa session.
In 2023, Quintos addressed the issue by clarifying that it was an individual thesis not a group one.
“Ito po kasi ‘yung biggest misconception. People think that architecture thesis is a group work, it’s not po. It’s individual. So medyo po nagkaroon ng ganoong issue na hindi po ako gumagawa ng group work… Because of that incident din medyo naapektuhan po ang aking mental health,” she said at the time.
