“Bridgerston” season 3 is set to center on the love story of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).
In an interview with Today on the red carpet, Coughlan expressed her joy to be able to go around and visit the fans from different countries, especially since the first season of the show premiered during the pandemic.
“We needed to keep it secret that we were coming here, so literally, we were in Sydney for two days being like, ‘No one look at us’. Someone would come up and be like, ‘Are you?’ and I’d have to stop them and say, ‘Nope, I’m not—not at all,'” she said.
“But this is the first season that we’ve not been completely impeded by COVID-19, so we can actually travel around and meet the fans, go around the world, and it’s so cool—we feel really privileged to get to do it,” added the Hollywood actress.
The Netflix series gained appeal from the viewers as they showcased the grandeur of the Regency era in a way that would resonate with the generation that is so foreign to that period.
Stirred with steamy romance and good family drama, “Bridgerton” has received massive viewership since the premiere of its first season.
The first half of Bridgerton season 3 will premiere on Netflix on May 16, and the second part will air on June 13.
