Nancy McDonie, former Momoland member, signs contract with GMA’s Sparkle
Former Momoland member Nancy McDonie was announced as the latest artist to join Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s roster of talents on Monday, April 1.
Sparkle GMA announced McDonie’s signing on its official social media platforms, although details of her activities are yet to be revealed.
“Sparkle proudly welcomes its new international star, Nancy McDonie, to its diverse and stellar roster of talents. Get ready to witness her journey as she shines among the brightest stars in the industry! Welcome to Sparkle, Nancy,” its caption read.

The agency’s announcement comes a day after intriguing netizens with a teaser showing the emojis of South Korea and the Philippines in the caption, including a hint that a “K-pop idol” will be joining the agency.

Article continues after this advertisementBorn as Nancy Jewel McDonie, she debuted as the lead vocalist and lead dancer of Momoland in November 2016. The members confirmed the girl group’s disbandment through separate letters in February 2023.
Since then, McDonie signed an exclusive contract with ATOC in September 2023 after leaving her previous agency Aria Group in the same month.
Before joining Sparkle, she was previously in the Philippines for an anniversary party of a fried chicken brand in November of last year.
