Former “Eat Bulaga” host Toni Rose Gayda shared that Vic Sotto, aka Bossing, expressed his desire to court her during the time they were both on the noontime show.

Sitting down with Julius Babao on Thursday, Feb. 22, the TV personality revealed that she didn’t allow the “Enteng Kabisote” actor to court her given that she knew how hard it was to be in a relationship with a co-worker.

“Hindi ko pinayagan,” she said. “Maybe, ganon (nagparamdam) konti. Pero kasi mahirap kung karelasyon mo ‘yung kasama mo mahirap lalo for me kasi nga sabi ko selosa ako,”

Gayda was a mainstay host on the Philippines’ longest-running show for almost 18 years, but she left the reality program in 2014 to focus on taking care of her family.

“It came into a point nagkasakit mommy ko, dalawang anak ko nasa hospital for different reasons may sakit rin sila non. Hindi ko nakayanan. Sabi ko, I cannot give my best and nahiya naman ako kay Mr. Tuviera and kay Malou,” she shared.

“I talked to Malou, sabi ko aalis na lang ako. Sabi niya, ‘Does that mean you’re resigning?’ Una indefinite leave. Sabi ko, ‘Siguro Malou, ganon na nga’ kasi I’ll have to attend muna to my mom and my kids kasi kailangan talaga tutok,” recalled the TV host.

The former EB Dabarkad expressed that she will always be grateful for having the chance to work with the TV host trio, Joey De Leon and Vic and Tito Sotto.

“If there’s a blessing that I’d consider is nakatrabaho ko ang TVJ because ang sarap nilang katrabaho, ang sarap nilang kasama. Joey would really make you feel welcome. Si Bossing naman sobrang bait pero mahiyain,” she said.

Gayda is the only child of FAMAS award-winning actress Rosa Rosal, who is dubbed as the “original femme fatale of Philippine cinema.”
