Nievera, in response, underscored how proud he is of Fernandez, saying she “[shines] bright all by [herself].”

“Maybe there was a time in your [40s] that I had to disappear for a while to let you find your wings. And boy oh boy have you learned to fly!” he said.

“When you need our kind of magic I am never far away,” he vowed. “Thank you for the kind words and for including me in your 40th year celebration. Congratulations to you and your entire team. You were awesome!”

Fernandez earlier opened up about their relationship and admitted that they also go through misunderstandings every so often.

“I don’t want to pretend na we are a hundred percent okay. We go through certain tampuhans, but what is good about it is we know how to deal with it,” she said.

“I think because we choose to always be okay, na-sesettle naman siya. We settle everything privately, and we deal through all those misunderstandings privately,” she added.

Nievera and Fernandez have two children, namely Robin and Ram. The veteran singers recently became grandparents as Robin welcomed baby Phineas Atlas, his first child with his partner Mian Acoba.
