Pops Fernandez speaks about past romance with Randy Santiago, Gary Valenciano

Pops Fernandez recalled her past romance with co-celebrities Randy Santiago and Gary Valenciano, answering who of them became her real boyfriend and a suitor only.
During the Fast Talk with Boy Abunda episode on Jan. 12, the singer revealed that Santiago became her boyfriend but only via telephone.
“Ang bilis kasi ni Randy. Ganon siya katinik. Si Randy kasi ‘yung makulit, siya ‘yung funny. Naging boyfriend ko siya over the phone,” she said.
The “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang” singer shared that her relationship with Santiago was only brief after her mother freaked out when they first went out for a movie.
“Pinayagan ako ni mama na magmovie with Randy once, pero hindi na ulit naulit. Nafreak out si mama, and that ended our phone conversation, break na kami,” she said.
Fernandez also set the record straight by saying that singer Gary Valenciano was never her boyfriend, although he courted her for a time.
“Nanligaw pero hindi [naging boyfriend]. He would call me until wee hours in the morning. Syempre kilig kilig naman ako,” shared the singer.
The “Philippine Concert Queen” then commented on her romance with ex-husband Martin Nieverra, noting that it’s their natural chemistry that lured them to a real relationship.
“It was the constant togetherness. Madadala ka rin naman sa mga tao, sa mga fans, they love us together. We really do have chemistry. It’s easy to fall in love with Martin,” said Fernandez.
The former “The Clash” host judge said that right now she is not looking for or waiting for love, as she emphasized it will just happen naturally.
“Parang neither. There was a time na hinanap ko. There was a time na hinintay ko. Ngayon ang feeling ko darating na lang siya. In other words, I’m not waiting. I’m just living my life happily, the way I want to live it. And gusto ko masurprise na lang ako one day, ayun na pala siya. Siya na pala ‘yon,” she said.
