Rob Gomez said he’s focusing on his work and trying to “heal” as he navigates through the aftermath of his viral text scandal with Herlene Budol and Bianca Manalo last year.

In an interview with MJ Marfori via TikTok during a Chinese New Year event, Gomez affirmed that he is now trying to “find himself,” stressing that he is not trying to pull the “victim” card after his controversies last year.

“I think it’s the time to work. It’s the time to find myself. Maybe heal. I don’t wanna sound like a victim. Because I don’t wanna pry on it. I don’t want anyone na maawa sakin. I do not wish to share my problems with anyone,” he said.

The “Magandang Dilag” actor emphasized that he is also trying to make his “personal relationships” private again after many women, including his baby mama, got dragged into his issues last year.

“I really don’t talk about my personal relationships. It’s just that last time I kinda had to plead my love. But this time I’ll try to keep it private again,” he stated.

Gomez underscored that the aftermath of his viral text scandal made every day difficult for him, even to this day, but stressed that he’s trying to recover nonetheless.

“Every day is complicated,” he said. “[But] the comeback is always greater than the setback. I’m just grinding. I’m working out now. Trying to get the best shape of my life,”

The Kapuso actor shared that right now he is also looking for “self-respect,” as it is part of his way of loving.

“Self-respect ko po kailangan ko po siyang hanapin talaga kasi tayo ay mapagmahal. Tatalon tayo kapag kailangan, kapag sinabihan tumalon, ‘yun ‘yung hahanapin natin,” he said.
