‘It’s Showtime’ hosts pray for Kim Chiu’s healing, happiness

Kim Chiu, who earlier confirmed ending her over a decade-long relationship with actor Xian Lim, received support anew from her fellow “It’s Showtime” hosts who wished that God grants her “heart’s desires.”
This happened during the noontime show’s “EXpecially for You” segment on Friday, Feb. 9, as seen on the show’s Facebook page.
“‘Wag daw mahihiyang humiling kay Lord kahit anong gusto mong hilingin kasi si Lord hindi naman judgmental,” Vice Ganda said.
(They say you should not be ashamed to ask the Lord what you desire because He is not judgmental.)

After the comedian’s remark, Vhong Navarro noticed Chiu walking away from the stage which prompted him to ask, “Kim, sa’n ka punta?” (Kim, where are you going?”
“Pray lang ako,” Chiu said, eliciting laughs from her fellow hosts and the audience. (I’m just going to pray.)
Vice Ganda and the other hosts then ran toward Chiu to “support” her by praying for her. Now surrounded by her fellow hosts who raised their arms over her, Chiu could not help but laugh while trying to stop them.
“Lord God, tumatawa lang po kami pero serious po kami (we may be laughing but we are serious). Lord, may you give Kim what her heart desires. May you heal her, Lord, and make her very happy again,” Vice Ganda said.
Chiu also received a hug from each of them as they sang Basil Valdez’s “Lead Me Lord.” The teasing did not end there as Vice Ganda proceeded to sing: “Ang buhay ng isang single ay masayang tunay.” (The life of a single person is really happy.)
In response, Chiu joked about joining the “EXpecially for You” segment with a former partner. She also shared a snap from the noontime show episode on her Instagram Stories, expressing her love for her “It’s Showtime” family.

Chiu confirmed her split with Lim last December, two days before Christmas Day.
“In a relationship, love is always a significant factor, but sometimes love is not enough,” she said of their breakup.
Addressing Lim in her statement, Chiu wrote, “Thank you for the almost 12 years of beautiful memories together one can never imagine. You will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for showing me what love is.”
