Kim Chiu open to falling in love again after breakup with Xian Lim
Kim Chiu admitted that she’s not open to getting into a relationship anytime soon but she remained faithful that she would find love again, weeks after confirming her breakup with Xian Lim — who was her boyfriend for 12 years.
At a press conference for “Linlang: The Teleserye Version,” Chiu was asked during its “Yiz (yes) or Wit (no)” segment if she’s ready to open her heart again despite going through a failed relationship.
“Oo naman (Of course),” she said in response. “Hindi man sa ngayon muna pero hopefully, in the next months to come. Kasi ang love naman, marami namang kayang magbigay ng love. And willing naman ako tumanggap. Basta, kasali sa buhay ‘yun, i-embrace nating lahat.”
(Maybe not now but hopefully, in the next months to come. Because anyone can express love, and I’m willing to accept it. It’s part of life. Let’s embrace it.)
Chiu — along with her cast mates Paulo Avelino and Maricel Soriano, and directors FM Reyes and Jojo Saguin — were also asked if they were deceived by love at some point in their lives.

But you can’t do anything about it. You loved someone. Of course, you’ll be brought into a world of deceit),” she said. “But that’s part of life. That’s part of growth so embrace the pain and learn something from that experience and you’re good to go,” she said.
Chiu and Avelino attended the press conference through video call after testing positive for COVID-19. The two actors are set to lead the upcoming Filipino adaptation of the hit series “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.”
“COVID lang ‘yan pero si Juliana pa rin ako (I may have COVID-19 but I’m still Julianna),” Chiu quipped, referring to the name of her character in the show.
“Linlang” tells the story of Victor (Paulo Avelino) determined to seek justice after his wife Juliana (Kim Chiu) became unfaithful to him with his brother Alex (JM de Guzman).
Chiu was previously in a relationship with Kapuso star Xian Lim for 12 years before confirming that they called their romance quits last Dec. 23.
