Marian Rivera shares Valentine’s Day plans, mother’s tips
Marian Rivera shared that, despite her busy schedule, she always finds time to be with her family, especially on occasions like Valentine’s Day.
During a brand event on Friday, Feb. 9, the Kapuso primetime queen stressed that she and her husband, Dingdong Dantes, always have Valentine’s Day plans; however, this year will be different with the presence of their kids.
“Meron kami, pero sabi ko kay Dong, this time gusto ko maiba. Gusto ko kasama ‘yung dalawang bata kasi naging busy kami last year. Parang itong ‘yung time to spend with them. So sabi ko gusto ko kaming apat,” she said, adding that a picnic would most likely be the theme.
(We have plans, but I told Dong that this time I want it to be different. I want the two kids to be with us because we got so busy last year. This is the only time we’ll get to spend with them again, so I said, I want it to be the four of us.)
Despite her hectic work schedule, the “Marimar” star has always been a hands-on mother, openly talking about how she likes preparing food for her family. She emphasized that if she were to give advice to mothers or young women, it would be for them to know how to cook.

Rivera remarked that it makes her a tough mama, as she’s willing to do everything for her family no matter how exhausted and busy she is juggling motherhood and her career.
“Lahat talaga gagawin ko para sa pamilya ko. Hindi ako mag-eexcuse na busy ako, pagod ako, wala ‘yon sa’kin. Basta mabigay ko ‘yung dapat para sa family ko gagawin ko ‘yon. Kahit walang tulog from work okay ako,” she declared.
(I will do everything for my family. I will not make excuses that I’m busy or tired; all that is nothing to me. What’s important for me is to provide for my family, so I’m willing to do everything, even though I have no sleep coming from work. I would be okay.)
Rivera is currently starring in “Jose & Maria’s Bonggang Villa” with her husband. She is also set to headline GMA’s upcoming primetime “My Guardian Alien” with Gabby Concepcion.
