Bea Saw came to the defense of her friend and “One More Chance” co-star Bea Alonzo, amid assumptions that the latter’s “character” may have caused the problems in her relationships.

Saw responded to a netizen who gave their two cents on Alonzo and actor Dominic Roque’s recent breakup, via X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

“Masyado naman mataas ang tingin ng mga tao kay B coz meron siyang lupain. Regardless of how rich you are, if meron something sa character mo, hindi ka pa rin pakakasalan ng lalaking mas mayaman sayo,” the netizen said.

(The public thinks too highly of B just because she owns lands. Regardless of how rich you are, if there’s something wrong with your character, even men wealthier than you won’t marry you.)

While the Twitter user only mentioned a certain “B,” it can be noted that their post was a reaction to another tweet about TV writer G3 San Diego’s advice for Alonzo.

According to the screenshots included in the main post, San Diego apparently advised the actress before to date someone “more successful than her or as successful as her from another industry.”

Saw, opting not to interact with the main post, then replied to the netizen who criticized Alonzo’s character and said, “Don’t worry, I assure you wala siyang something sa character (there’s nothing wrong with her character).”

Alonzo and Roque’s breakup was earlier confirmed by TV host Boy Abunda. Abunda cited sources claiming that the pair is still mending their relationship.

While the former couple has yet to publicly address the matter, Roque appealed to fans to stop the hate and bashing toward Alonzo, whom he described as a “beautiful person inside and out.”
