Grammy 2024: Taylor Swift makes history as four-time Album of the Year winner

Swift made history as the first artist to win her fourth Album of the Year award for “Midnights” in the ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb. 4 (morning of Feb. 5 in the Philippines).
“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life,” said a visibly emotional Swift during her acceptance speech. “But I feel this happy when I finish a song or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love. Or when I’m shot listing a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band, or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show. The award is the work and I want to be able to keep doing this.”

The singer-songwriter also thanked her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, engineer, Laura Sisk, Sam Dew, and close friend Lana Del Rey during her speech. To note, Del Rey was featured in the album’s track “Snow on the Beach.”
“So many female artists would not be where they are or have the inspiration without the work she has done. She is a legacy artist, a legend in her prime right now. I’m so lucky to know you and to be your friend,” Swift said of Del Rey in her speech.

Aside from “Midnights,” “Fearless” (2010), “1989” (2016), and “Folklore” (2020) also bagged Album of the Year Grammys for Swift.
The “Anti-Hero” hitmaker also announced the release of her upcoming album “The Tortured Poets Department” in the ceremony, which will be released on April 19.
Also emerging as the Grammys’ biggest winners are Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, boygenius, and SZA.
