Andrea Brillantes, SB19’s Josh, Ken among 2023’s ‘Most Beautiful and Handsome Faces’

The beauty of Andrea Brillantes caught the attention of TC Candler and the Independent Critics after she ranked 16th in “The Most Beautiful Faces of 2023,” even as Josh Cullen Santos and Ken Suson of SB19 were included in the list of “The Most Handsome Faces of 2023.”
In a video uploaded on its YouTube channel on Thursday, Dec. 28, Brillantes was the highest Filipina personality in the Top 20 rankings. This marks her first time on the annual list.
Other Filipinas included in the list are Ivana Alawi (21st), Liza Soberano (28th), Janine Gutierrez (45th) and Belle Mariano (71st). Soberano topped the rankings in 2019.
South Korean-American Nancy McDonnie of girl group Momoland topped the 2023 list, ranking higher from last year’s second place. She was followed by Russian model Dasha Taran and Twice’s Minatozaki Sana in second and third place, respectively.
Other well-known personalities who made it are Blackpink’s Jisoo (9th), Twice’s Tzuyu (11th), Blackpink’s Rosé (12th), Blackpink’s Lisa (14th), IVE’s Jang Wonyoung (27th), NewJeans’ Danielle (36th), aespa’s Ningning (46th), “The Little Mermaid” star Halle Bailey (62nd), Ariana Grande (79th) and Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu (99th).
Filipinos included in handsome faces of 2023
SB19’s Josh and Ken entered “The Most Handsome Faces of 2023” list for the first time, placing 71st and 34th, respectively.
Meanwhile, Kyler Chua of global pop group HORI7ON is the highest-ranked Filipino personality on the list at No. 27, while his bandmate Reyster was placed on the 58th spot.
Timothée Chalamet emerged as the most handsome face of the year, marking his sixth time to be part of the annual rankings, while “Superman” star Henry Cavill ranked second.
Some of the most popular personalities included are Stray Kids’ Bang Chan (8th), Chris Hemsworth (13th), BTS’ Jungkook (16th), Zayn Malik (26th) and Chris Evans (61st).
Composed of 20 people, TC Candler and The Independent Critics’ annual list aims to “broaden public opinion” on the standards of the “modern ideal of worldwide beauty” out of over 100,000 celebrities, according to its official website.
“Aesthetic perfection is only one of the criteria. Grace, elegance, originality, daring, passion, class, poise, joy, promise, hope. They are all embodied in a beautiful face,” the website said.
