Kim Chiu jokes about love life status: ‘Naka-hang ngayon’

Kim Chiu seemed to have addressed the breakup rumors in a light manner as she likened her love life to a non-responsive device.
Chiu had a chat with her “Linlang” co-star, Diamond Star Maricel Soriano. The veteran actress would play Chiu’s “yaya for a day,” as seen in a vlog on the latter’s YouTube channel on Saturday, Dec. 16.
Soriano tagged along with Chiu, serving the latter with water and tissue as the “It’s Showtime” host attended an episode of the noontime show, learned dance steps, and ate with her fellow hosts.
While walking towards Chiu’s dressing room, Soriano asked her: “Ang dami-daming nagbubulungan. Kamusta daw ang love life mo?” (There have been a lot of talks. They were asking how is your love life doing.)
The Diamond Star was referring to the split rumors hounding Chiu and her boyfriend of over 10 years, actor Xian Lim.
“Ay, sinong nagtatanong sa’yo (Who’s asking you)?” Chiu asked in return, to which Soriano replied that it was the TV host’s fans who were asking.
“Ang love life ko? Ang love life ko ngayon ay ano… Ang love life ko ay naka-hang ngayon,” Chiu added while laughing hysterically. (My love life? My love life now is… My love life now is hanging [non-responsive].)
Soriano went on to follow up, “Parang telepono, day? Naka-hang? (Just like a telephone? Not responding?)”. To answer the question, the younger actress said, “Oo. Kumain tayo, yaya! (Yes. Let’s eat already, yaya!)”, apparently in an effort to change the topic.
While Chiu and Lim have yet to confirm or deny the split rumors, netizens were intrigued after the actor removed majority of his vlogs—including those with the actress-TV host—from his YouTube channel.
Comedian-showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz also claimed that the couple parted ways two months ago, citing a mutual friend of his and the pair’s as his source.
